Politics

• Corey Hogan, Calgary Confederation MP, was appointed Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Energy and Natural Resources on June 5—a big step for our only Liberal MP in Calgary

• Council is pushing ahead on Green Line LRT construction—Phase 1 to be completed by 2031, with SE launch approved.

Sports

• The Calgary Stampeders kicked off the season at McMahon Stadium on June 7 vs. Hamilton

• League1 Alberta soccer action continues—Calgary Rangers SC and Villains FC recently joined this summer’s schedule.
